Features and Attributes
Stainless steel is difficult to drill because of its hardness, toughness and work-hardening properties. As a cutting edge shears away stainless steel, it causes the material at the cutting interface to work-harden, creating a work-affected zone that makes penetrations by subsequent cutting edges more difficult. Multiple hole saws and countless time may be spent drilling just one hole.
The patented Holecutting System II is designed to simplify and expedite the job of drilling holes in most metals with the greatest benefit in cutting stainless steel, carbon steel and other hardened metals. Professionals in the fire protection, plumbing, aerospace, transportation, electrical, and other industries use the Holecutting System II to improve their hole drilling quality, speed and cost. The patented cutter design along with the unique dual-speed (co-axial) gearbox provides users with a significant increase in cutting performance. We offer ready-to-work kits complete with electric or pneumatic drills, speed reducer, pilot hole bits and the powerful cutter from 5/8” (16mm) to 3 1/8” (79.5mm).
Typical Applications: Stainless steel ventilation hoods, stainless steel cabinets, off-road vehicle fire suppression, electrical contracting, plumbing, marine maintenance and shipbuilding.
